| Here
is a re-creation of a small town band (from Lynchburg, TN with a population
of 361) that existed at the turn of the century. It's a trip through
a vanished era in music and our society. They play the music of over
half a century ago. The band was originally created by the Jack Daniel's
distillery and played concerts in the parks, at the bandstands and
small villages. Now, kept alive, mostly through the efforts of leader,
Marcus Arnold, the 13 piece brass band features some of the top players
of Nashville. Each of their sets are special concerts that are true
performances with Professor Marcus Arnold in his top hat and tails
providing an unassuming, folksy way. |
